Chemical Peel Treatment
Aging, environmental and lifestyle factors slow down the cell renewal process that maintains healthy skin. This results in an accumulation of dead skin cells and causes dullness, discolouration, and uneven texture. For more than 100 years, chemical peels have been used to restore a more youthful appearance by exfoliating old skin cells and promoting collagen growth. Fresher, younger-looking skin replaces outer layers of tired, blemished, and wrinkled skin. Regain the radiance of your skin with chemical peels.
FAQs
How does a chemical peel work?
A chemical peel uses a solution that contains a form of acidic compounds (AHAs): glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or trichloroacetic acid (TCA). Itevens out any pigmentation, smooths skin texture, tightens the skin, reduces wrinkles, and restores a more youthful appearance. Chemical peels can treat a wide range of skin problems, including:
- Age spots
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Freckling
- Shallow acne scars
- Sun-damaged skin
- Uneven pigmentation
How many types of peels are available?
From superficial peels to deep peels, each peel provides unique benefits. We may recommend a single peel or a combination of peels to provide a radiant glow and correct skin conditions such as acne or pigmentation.
Glycolic Acid Peel:This the most active of the alpha-hydroxy-acids (AHAs). Due to its small molecular size, it absorbs through the skin to restore a youthful glow. It may cause a temporary tingling sensation or redness. It provides several benefits such as lightening age spots and improving acne and large pores.
Lactic Acid Peel:This is excellent for people with sensitive skin. It helps in acne, discolouration of the skin, and wrinkles. It may cause a temporary tingling sensation. As the peel is derived from milk, it is highly beneficial in improving the skin tone and condition.
Salicylic Acid Peel:It is a beta-hydroxy-acid (BHA) peel. It is great for treating acne, blackheads, clogged pores, hyperpigmentation, oily skin, and uneven skin texture. A detailed skincare routine can reduce dryness after the treatment. It is advisable to use 4–6 peels for the best results.
Skin Brightening Peel:It has a variety of skin-brightening agents such as Vitamin C, antioxidants, and other acids. It evens out skin tone, reduces brown spots and pigmentation. This mild peel provides instant results and improves skin tone darkened due to factors such as hormones and pollution.
Pumpkin Peel:Natural fruit enzymes in pumpkins brighten and exfoliate and restore a natural glow to the skin. This mild fruit-enzyme infused peel improves the skin complexion and texture. This treatment has no downtime or side effects.
Is the treatment based on a single peel or a combination of peels?
We will determine the type of peel based on a detailed skin analysis and a customised skin consultation. The treatment can be done once in 30–40 days. Depending on your skin profile, we may recommend 4–6 peels for enduring results.
What is the procedure?
Depending on your skin type and the desired results, we may recommend a superficial, medium, or deep chemical peel that can be used on face, neck, chest, hands, arms, and legs. A single peel or a combination of peels is chosen and the solution is applied on various areas of the skin. After the application, the outer layers peel off and lead to new skin growth. You may experience a warm to hot sensation that may last for ten minutes followed by a mild stinging sensation.

Are there any side effects?
Chemical peels may induce mild to more noticeable reactions. Based on the type of peel, the recovery time can be minimal or a few days of mild redness and exfoliation. Chemical peel treatment is the first-line treatment for many conditions and a great choice in between other treatments. Generally, our clients see improved skin tone and texture with each treatment. Your skin will be brighter, smoother, and tighter after the treatment. Our team follows strict guidelines to ensure your comfort and safety.
What are the post-treatment precautions?
After the treatment, you should avoid sun exposure as the new skin is sensitive and susceptible to injury. Apply a wide spectrum sunblock (UVA and UVB blocking with at least SPF 15) 20 minutes before you step outside. It is advisable to keep your skin hydrated and avoid demanding workouts, dry saunas, and steam rooms. You can also use a quality moisturizer such as a neutral, unscented cream or lotion. Our team will recommend an appropriate home skincare routine to ensure proper healing.
